The award supports the Venture Investment Fund through which Steppin’ Stone Farm, the Denali selection, will develop a project over a three-year period. Steppin’ Stone Farm operates a residential program for at-risk teenage girls. The Denali Initiative trains to develop entrepreneurial skills enabling the organization to expand and work toward self-sufficiency by developing a for-profit project. Training will also enable this leader to return to the community to create a framework for networking, peer support and developing a social vision among many not-for-profit agencies serving the local community. This is collaborative effort with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to support the growth and development of local not-for-profits.
